Controleren of uw telefoon eSIM ondersteunt

Volg deze stappen om te bepalen of uw iPhone of Android-apparaat eSIM ondersteunt:

Voor iPhone:

Open de app Instellingen.
Scroll naar beneden en selecteer Mobiel.
Tik op Mobiel abonnement toevoegen.
Als je een optie ziet om een QR-code te scannen, ondersteunt je iPhone eSIM. Zo niet, dan ondersteunt hij geen eSIM.

Voor Android:

Het proces kan variëren, afhankelijk van het merk en model van uw apparaat. Een algemene methode is:

Open de app Instellingen.
Selecteer Verbindingen.
Tik op SIM-kaartbeheer.
Als u een optie vindt om eSIM toe te voegen, ondersteunt uw Android-apparaat eSIM. Als deze optie ontbreekt, ondersteunt het geen eSIM.

Aanvullende overwegingen:

Regionale verschillen: Sommige apparaten, met name apparaten die zijn gekocht in bepaalde regio’s zoals het Chinese vasteland, Hongkong en Macau, ondersteunen mogelijk geen eSIM, zelfs als het model dat normaal gesproken wel doet.
Ondersteuning door providers: Zorg ervoor dat uw mobiele provider eSIM-diensten aanbiedt die compatibel zijn met uw apparaat.
Software-updates: Houd de software van uw apparaat up-to-date, aangezien eSIM-functionaliteit mogelijk in nieuwere updates wordt geïntroduceerd.
